U.S. National FootGolf Team, better known as Team USA is the exclusive representative of the United States in the World Cup organized by the FIFG.

Competitions

The American FootGolf Federation manages Team USA, and oversees all individual categories of USA FootGolf.

The AFGL-AFGL affiliated players have participated in every edition of the  FIFG World FootGolf World Cup.

Additionally, the team competed in the Jansen Cup, Battle of the Border, Pacific Trophy, and has earned the right to participate in the FIFG World Champions Cup series.

United States of America was present in all FIFG FootGolf World Cups. Hungary 2012 in Budapest, Argentina 2016 in Buenos Aires, Morocco 2018 in Marrakesh, and Orlando 2023 as host and organizer.

The Jansen Cup is the premier international FootGolf competition, inspired by the storied tradition of the Ryder Cup in golf. This biennial event brings together the finest FootGolf players from Great Britain and North America in a battle for national pride. The Jansen Cup honors the legacy of Michael Jansen, a pioneer in FootGolf's development. The inaugural Jansen Cup was held ninety years after the first Ryder Cup, marking a new era in FootGolf's history. The European team, comprising talented players from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, faced off against Team USA in a thrilling display of skill and sportsmanship. This groundbreaking event was made possible by the vision and dedication of Laura and Roberto Balestrini.

The next edition, 100 years after the launch of the Ryder Cup, will feature a team from Canada, Mexico, and the United States versus a team formed by players from England, Scotland, and Wales, celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the event. Join us on this journey as we honor the past, celebrate the present, and shape the future of FootGolf.

BATTLE OF

THE BORDER

The Battle of the Border is a prestigious international FootGolf tournament, conceived by the FootGolf Federations of the United States and Mexico to commemorate the enduring partnership between the two organizations. This multi-day, multicategory event unites the National FootGolf Teams from both nations, showcasing their exceptional skills and reinforcing the strong bond between them – one of the most storied and resilient relationships in the global FootGolf community.

The inaugural Battle of the Border took place in 2019 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, setting the stage for a thrilling rivalry. Later that year, the second installment of the tournament was held in Palm Springs, California, featuring an electrifying match between the two teams. In 2024, the third edition of the tournament brought the teams together once again at the Chimera Golf Club in Las Vegas, Nevada.

INTERCONTINENTAL

FIFG WORLD CHAMPIONS CUP

The FIFG World Champions Cup is the pinnacle of international FootGolf competition, featuring FIFG Member Countries that have previously won the FIFG World Cup National Team category. Organized by the Federation for International FootGolf (FIFG), this event brings together the world's top FootGolf nations to compete for the coveted "World Champions Cup" title. As new teams win the World Cup, they earn a spot in this exclusive competition, fostering a dynamic and ever-changing field of competitors. The United States National FootGolf Team, represented by the American FootGolf Federation, earned a spot in the inaugural edition of the FIFG World Champions Cup after winning the FIFG World Cup Argentina 2016 in the Men's category. 

USA FootGolf is proud to represent the United States in this competition. The location and date of the tournament will be determined Competitions Committee of the Federation for International FootGolf. We look forward to announcing the details and cheering on Team USA as they compete for the World Champions Cup title.

INTERCONTINENTAL

PACIFIC

TROPHY

The Pacific Trophy is an intercontinental FootGolf competition, created by The Balestrinis (United States) and Shinpei Matsuura (Japan). This biennial event brings together the finest FootGolf players from participating countries, celebrating the pioneers of FootGolf's development. The inaugural Pacific Trophy took place in 2016 at the AFGL Home Course in the California Desert, featuring a thrilling match between Team Japan and Team USA, and marking a significant milestone in FootGolf's history.

In 2025, national teams from Chile, Canada, Mexico, Japan, and the UNited States joined forces in Las Vegas Nevada, initiating a new era for the competition. This expansion represents a step towards the creators' vision of a tournament uniting all countries bordering the Pacific Ocean, working collaboratively to grow and develop FootGolf globally.
